Henkel is aware that a changing environment requires changing business. For that reason, the contents of their Digital Talent Program are based on the strategic core areas and beating heart of their transformative process. Each core area outlines the direction of the knowledge and skills that participants will acquire during the selected program stream.

For the Industry 4.0 Business Unit, we are now looking for you as a Digital Engineer Industry 4.0 (m/f/d). In this 18 months talent program, you will be responsible for the analysis of data to drive optimization, improvement of techniques and strategies. The program will start at the Henkel Headquarter in Düsseldorf, Germany before you will get to Amsterdam and one other project place. From day one throughout the program you will take the full responsibility and gain the ability to work as a Digital Engineer Industry 4.0 (m/f/d) and develop a Digital Twin of a typical Supply Chain asset by using Big Data and leveraging information captured through an existing Digital Backbone.


  • Utilize data and analytic skills in order to develop cutting-edge digital solutions for future digital supply chain assets for our industry 4.0
  • Develop and manage a Digital Twin of a typical Supply Chain asset by using Big Data and leveraging information captured through existing Digital Backbone
  • Analyse of data to drive optimization and improvement of techniques and strategies
  • Process, cleansing, and verify the integrity of data used for analytics
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
  • Present gathered information using data visualization techniques and technologies
  • Get involved in global projects of the SCM of Henkel


  • University degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or chemical / process engineering) ideally MBA or PHD
  • Data processing skills: experience in data engineering/ manipulation/ wrangling required
  • Experience with agile methods like Scrum
  • Knowledge of SQL is necessary. Additionally you should have experience in one of these : Python, Java, PySpark, Databricks,Tableau 
  • First experience with cross-national project management in comparable industry (manufacturing environment)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving competencies
  • Fluent English language skills
